Term 3 2017

Term 3 is the time we celebrate the wonderful diversity and talent of Australian authors and illustrators as we focus on the books which have been shortlisted by The Children's Book Council of Australia for their annual Book of the Year Awards. The CBCA work to promote the benefits and wonder of reading and in 2017 we will 'Escape To Everywhere' as we share some wonderful stories and discover new places and experiences with the amazing shorlisted and notable books.

Term 2 2017

This term library is packed full of great stories and fun information. Our Preps will be discovering the wonderful rhyme and charming chararcters of books by Lynley Dodd, including the fabulous Hairy Maclary.  Our Grades 1 through to 4 will be focusing on nonfiction texts looking at Australian animals, things that move, plant life and Australian history. Our Grade 5 and 6's will be jumping into some new and exciting fiction genres to try and expand our reading experiences. As well, we'll be focusing on Anzac day and Mother's day with all our favourite stories.

Term 1 2017

This term in library we will be celebrating all things SEUSS. Theodore Seuss Geisel was born on March 2nd, 1904 and would become one of the worlds most famous childrens authors - DR SEUSS. 2017 is the 80th anniversary of his first published book "And to think that I saw it on Mulberry Street" and the 60th anniversary of his most famous story "The Cat In The Hat" and so throughout term 1, across our school, each grade will be reading and enjoying the wonderful rhymes, amazing characters and whimsical drawings of the legendary Dr. Seuss.
