Apollo Parkways Primary School is located in the outer northern suburb of Greensborough and has an enrolment of 790 students. The majority of students are from the immediate locality, but a significant proportion of students, 42%, are drawn from suburbs outside the local neighbourhood. Our school’s high profile with regard to Digital Technologies and general education excellence has led to many families choosing to travel to Apollo Parkways from suburbs some distance away.
The school has excellent facilities and resources which provide opportunities for all students to experience a comprehensive curriculum in a caring, yet challenging atmosphere. A major building program completed in 2011 has provided many state of the art facilities including: a purpose built arts building for visual art and music programs, a well stocked library, a full size basketball stadium for physical education & sport, and a community centre that supports Out of School Hours Care and other school and community events.
On Friday 21st December, 1.30pm, the bell rang at Apollo Parkways for another school year! We say farewell and thank-you to a few members of our teaching staff as they embark on new teaching adventures - Alice Harvey, Sarah Galtieri, Trish Sutherland, Julie Lazarou, Michelle Everest - however in addition to this, we say happy retirement to the talented teacher and our friend Julie Simpson. Lucky last we say farewell to our Grade 6 students - Class of 2018. The staff at Apollo Parkways hope that the students will look back on their time at our school with much fondness and good memories, as we will remember the students well.
