G.A.T.E.ways National Challenge

On the 10th and 11th of November some of the grade 3/4 and 5/6 students participated in the G.A.T.E.ways national tournament against other schools in Australia. We had 2 schools visit us to be part of the day. The schools that visited us to compete were St Monica and Hume.

It was very fun to compete in a national tournament. We all had to compete together in various challenges that included maths, science, reading and writing. The first 4 sessions were the practicing stage and then after lunch we had the real competition for 2 hours. Your group was given a number for the rotation of activity we were doing. We would switch to a different activity every 30 minutes until we did all 4 activities.

After all of the sessions across the country have been completed, G.A.T.E.ways will email the school to tell us how we placed. It was an awesome day.
